NEW! Managing Director Position – Full Time

Description

The Managing Director is responsible for the overall management and daily operations of Academic Trainers. He/she is the primary point of contact for all tutors, students, and parents.  It is the responsibility of the managing director to see that Academic Trainers continues to be successful and that all operations are running smoothly.  An ideal candidate for this position is someone who enjoys being around people and providing a great service while also having a large amount of responsibility on his/her plate. Training for this position will begin immediately.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Strong leadership skills; Must be able to take charge and lead by example
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; Must be able to understand the needs of the clients and be able to respond in a professional and timely manner
  • Familiar with the bay area clientele and schools a plus
  • Exceptional organizational skills; Must be able to multi-task effectively and have strong time management skills
  • Conceptual selling skill is a plus; Must understand the different offerings and be able to help a client choose the option best suited for his/her needs
  • Proven initiative/self-starter
  • Passion for Academic Trainer’s Mission
  • Requires occasional week night work
  • Enjoys being around students
  • Tutoring or other experience working with students is strongly desirable
  • Strong computer skills; We are a predominately Mac-based business
  • College degree a plus
  • Management experience a plus
  • Hours: Monday – Thursday 10:30 – 6/6:30 and Sunday 12 - 9

Director Responsibilities

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Scheduling all sessions for clients and staff
  • Speaking/emailing with clients about program offerings and providing background information on specific tutors to find the best match for a student
  • Assist test prep director and hiring director with scheduling, interviewing, and setting up materials
  • Handling all payments and running payroll
  • Designing and assembling newsletters, brochures, and flyers as needed
  • Managing all tutors and providing feedback as needed
  • Overseeing special promotions and offerings
  • Keeping the center clean, welcoming, and presentable
